My name is Luz Gonzalez, but those who know me best call me Lu or Luli. I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, surrounded by the warm, vibrant, and welcoming culture that shaped my view of the world. From an early age, I discovered a love for sports, believing that staying active nurtures both a healthy body and a resilient mind. Track and field was my passion, and I pursued it until the age of 19, when my life took a bold and transformative turn.

In August 2022, I took a leap of faith and moved to the United States to begin my studies at Florida International University (FIU). It wasn’t easy at first. Back in Argentina, I had a life filled with everything I cherished—the sport I loved, my family close by, and friends who felt like family. But life is about embracing challenges, and I welcomed this new chapter with open arms.

I am now a junior majoring in Digital + Interactive Media with a minor in Social Media and E-Marketing Analytics, and I have grown both personally and professionally at FIU. I am proud to be the producer of FIU’s Spanish Newscast, where I lead a talented team to create engaging news content. Leadership roles come naturally to me—I thrive when teaching, directing, and guiding others toward success. I also work as a learning assistant in math, helping students develop their skills. Additionally, I worked as a Social Media Specialist and Publicist for Rita’s Italian Ice, which taught me how to craft captivating content and connect with audiences.

My creative journey has been filled with exciting projects. I produced and edited a mini-documentary, a photo essay, and a two-episode podcast highlighting the impact of drunk driving. What’s more, I learned motion graphics, designing opening title sequences, lyric videos, news bumpers, and more. I’ve also gained hands-on experience with professional television and film equipment, from cameras to lights and microphones. In addition, my skills extend to marketing campaigns, graphic design, and web development. With all this creative experience, my true passion lies in fashion—a world that defines me and excites me like nothing else.

Fashion is a passion I inherited from my mom, who taught me to appreciate its power to tell stories and express individuality. My dream is to work as a content creator in the fashion industry, bringing its artistry to life through digital media. While I once dreamed of becoming a model, my true passion lies in creating content that connects with people and sparks imagination.

Every step I’ve taken so far has been driven by a love for new adventures. My story is still being written, and I can’t wait to see where creativity and connection lead me next.
